Originally founded in 2010 by Dr. Andreas Baenziger and Dr. Florian Kamelger, construction of the new Aston Martin St. Gallen showroom commenced in March 2015. The new 5,315m2 facility was designed by Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman, and combines the familiar design cues and corporate identity of Aston Martin showrooms enhanced with the local influence of typically Swiss characteristics to create a unique ambience.
The purpose-built state-of-the-art facility features a spacious customer lounge with open fireplace, creating a pleasant feel-good atmosphere for guests, while enjoying culinary delights by well-known chef Johannes Stuermer. The showroom also includes one of the biggest “Q by Aston Martin” lounges in the world where customers can tailor their new car to the exact specification of their choosing, a dedicated sales and aftersales team and a workshop staffed by world-class Gaydon-trained technicians gives guests the full Aston Martin experience.
There is also a unique Car Safe which enables an anti-theft automatic parking for 90 vehicles in a fire prevented (oxygen reduced) environment.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony on Saturday, Aston Martin CEO Dr Andy Palmer said: “2016 is going to be an exciting year for Aston Martin and we are delighted to be working alongside Aston Martin St Gallen in opening this new state-of-the-art facility. The showroom opening was attended by media, invited guests and key members of the Aston Martin senior executive team.
Attendees were able to see not only one of two Aston Martin CC100, a DB10, a GT4 race car and several very special Q-cars, but also the new Aston Martin DB11. The first product launched under the company’s ‘Second Century’ plan. The DB11 is the bold new figurehead of the illustrious ‘DB’ bloodline and an authentic, dynamic sporting GT in the finest Aston Martin tradition.
