
Frankfurt am Main / Stuttgart, 6th June 2012. Aston Martin’s official dealer in Stuttgart, the Emil Frey Group Germany, is building a new site exclusively for the British luxury brand. Bigger, better and in the visually world-wide recognised design ques of Aston Martin, the new building is to be constructed in near-by Filderstadt and will include both a showroom and service area with workshop. The opening is planned in the first half of 2013.
At the official ground-breaking ceremony, also attended by Rudolf Wohlfarth, CEO Emil Frey Group Germany, and Gabriele Dönig-Poppensieker Mayor of Filderstadt, Dr. Ulrich Bez, CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd., said: “Aston Martin is a far reaching global brand and is represented accordingly in our markets. Stuttgart and its surroundings is an important region for Aston Martin and me personally, so I am very pleased that Emil Frey Germany has now after a lengthy search found the right concept and suitable site.” Bez, who was born in Bad Cannstadt, continued: “We know that there is a broad customer base here for exclusive high-performance sports cars, which are perfect in detail and exude style and understatement. The new showroom will help in better reaching this potential here.”
Rudolf Wohlfarth, CEO of Emil Frey Group Germany, which has been representing Aston Martin in Stuttgart since 1996, said: “With this new dealership the Emil Frey Group shows its close ties to Aston Martin. We look forward to presenting to our customers the exciting models from Aston Martin in this appropriate way in the future.”
Gabriele Dönig-Poppensieker, Mayor of Filderstadt, said: “As mayor of the city of Filderstadt I am very happy that such a reputable and global company such as the British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin is coming to Bernhausen. This underlines once more our location qualities in the centre of Filder. The automotive industry in particular also treasures this privileged location in the heart of the economic engine of the Stuttgart region.”

The showroom and workshop at the new location of Aston Martin in Filderstadt will cover a total area of 900 m2. The showroom and gallery exhibition space will accommodate up to eight vehicles. In the workshop, four work bays and a car reception area is planned. A 2,000 m2 large underground garage, which utilises the area of the site in an optimal way, will provide both parking and storage facilities for up to 60 vehicles. In addition there will further parking spaces outside of the building. The facade of the building will be predominantly covered by large glass areas in order to provide optimum lighting in the showroom for the car models to set the scene perfectly.
Aston Martin currently has 12 dealerships in Germany: Aachen, Bremen, Hamburg, Hannover, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Dresden, Cologne, Kronberg, Stuttgart, Memmingen and Munich.
